Sick of watching The Simpsons on television? Now you can play as them on your console in a game that looks, at some points, even better than the cartoon.
Harkening back to the successful coin-op machine that dominated milk bars over ten years ago, the game places a large emphasis on teamwork as Bart, Homer, Marge, Lisa and even Maggie strive to save the day when they get sucked into a magic comic book. Each character also gets a couple of appropriate abilities they can use in game, with Bart able to fire his slingshot and float off buildings as Bartman and Homer able to blow up into a massive round ball of lard and roll over enemies in his path.
It’s also entirely authentic, with the script written by the TV show’s scribes and the game’s hundreds of lines of dialogue voiced by the genuine actors. |
